  <dc:description xml:lang="srp">Sam naslov ovog rada trebalo bi, bar donekle, da sugeriše svu kompleksnost odno-
sa pojma vremena kao istorijskog protoka i pojma vremena kao aktuelnog trenutka,
odnosno doba, naspram pojma umetnosti. U tom smislu, savremena književna teorija,
ali i nasumični nepredvidivi pojedinačni doživljaj, u mnogome bi i raznovrsno odgovori-
li na pitanja, na koji način se danas, a i uopšte može čitati Ćopić. Podnaslovi celina
koje predstoje aludiraju na te načine, ali pravi cilj ovog rada je da, tek u opštim razma-
tranjima i nagoveštajima, odgovori i na drugo, po ličnom mišljenju važnije pitanje –
zašto bi?</dc:description>
  <dc:description xml:lang="eng">Nowdays, it is not difficult to write about Branko Copic. Extensive litera-
ture, collections of works, monographs, papers, a long period of careful scien-
tific personnel attention offer a manifold and precise insight into his work. Try-
ing to avoid turning this work into a great footnote originating from a long bib-
liography on the last pages, I have dared search, at the very source, for the
substance of the writer’s devotion, the essence which is inseparably present
throughout his work; that value which makes a difference, distinguishing the
history of literature, as an indisputably valuable museum exhibit, from the
value which literature brings back to life from which it had been borrowed,
only to find in it the ideal of all-embracing humanity. Just in case our memo-
ries fail us, so that, in the immeasurable abundance of information and produc-
tion, of an eroded social order and undermined individuals cut into from all
sides, just in case we lose coordinates and landmarks, the literary work of
Branko Copic reminds us that whatever the world stage may look like, the
people staging life on it are nothing but humans, or at least we should be so:
human enough by ourselves, to become a part of a never-ending story and a
golden fairy tale about ourselves. Reason enough to pick from the heritage of
the world literature, which is increasing at mathematical progression on a
daily basis, and take the work of Branko Copic off some forgotten shelf and
pass it on. His work is a precise litmus test of human compassion in the fluid of
the social awareness and saves its place there</dc:description>
