Izvod: U radu su prikazani rezultati jednogodišnjih istraživanja antimikrobnog uticaja šumskih vrsta na životnu sredinu Srbije sa posebnim osvrtom na aktivnost vrsta Juniperus communis L. i Mentha longifolia (L.) Huds. Istraživanja su pokazala da antimikrobnu aktivnost imaju sve aromatične vrste drveća, žbunova i zeljastih biljaka. Po količini antimikrobnih metabolita - etarskih ulja, koje stvaraju, posebno se ističu vrste Juniperus communis L. (do 3 %) i Mentha longifolia (do 4 %). Etarska ulja šumskih vrsta imaju inhibitorno dejstvo na većinu najčešćih vrsta bakterija, a fungicidna dejstva nisu konstatovana. Abstract: The microbicidal effect of forest species on the environment in Serbia was researched for one year, with special reference to the activity of the species Juniperus communis L. and Mentha longifolia (L.) Huds. The study shows that all aromatic species of trees, shrubs and herbaceous plants have the microbicidal activity. By the amount of microbicidal metabolites - essential oils, special emphasis is given to the species Juniperus communis L. (up to 3%) and Mentha longifolia (up to 4%). Essential oils of forest species have an inhibitory effect on the majority of the most frequent bacteria species, however the fungicidal effect was not observed.
