Ослањајући се на теорију виртуелног наратива и теорију могућих светова као основу за тумачење наративних мултиверзума, у фокусу рада је роман Марка Видојковића Е баш вам хвала као носталгична контраприпосвест, у којој се идеја ностоса остварује кроз контранаратив, стварањем алтернативне историје. Догађаји о којима јунак приповеда/ пише у ја-форми одвијају се у два паралелна универзума, „upward” (свет идеалне СФРЈ, из које и сȃм долази) и „downward” (свет чији је прототип егзистенцијална стварност разједињених југословенских држава), и то у наративној садашњости, док се временске осе у дијахронијској равни, приказаној у виду јунакових сећања или дијалога, мултипликују уназад само до 3. јуна 1989, када је дошло до цепања универзума. Даљим враћањем у прошлост уводи се мотив заједничке историје и кроз мноштво детаља открива позиција југоносталгичара, аутора приповести (Мирка Шипке или Марка Видојковића?), који уз помоћ ироније, пародије и вулгаризама остварује отклон од патетике, приповедајући нам своју патњу због свих пропуштених историјских прилика да се његова домовина изгради у најбољу земљу на свету, због њене неостварене будућности Relying on the virtual narrative theory and the theory of possible worlds as a basis for interpreting narrative multiverses, this paper focuses on Marko Vidojković’s Thank You Ever So Much as a nostalgic counter-narrative in which the idea of nostos is realized by creating an alternative history. The events that the hero narrates/ writes in the first person take place in two parallel universes, “upward” (the world of the ideal SFRY, from which he comes) and “downward” (the world modelled after is the existential reality of the divided Yugoslav states) namely in the narrative present. At the diachronic level, the time axes, depicted in the form of the hero’s memories or dialogue, multiply backwards only until June 3, 1989, when the splitting of the universe(s) occurred.
