Од средњовековних трговаца и еснафа у доба Немањића, преко привредника у османском и југосло- венском периоду, до савремених предузетника, вође су играле кључну улогу у очувању економске стабилности и идентитета српске заједнице. Традиционално, пословни лидери на КиМ били су не само економски покретачи, већ и друштвени стубови, често повезани с културним и по- литичким структурама. У савременом контексту, српске пословне вође се суочавају са изазовима нестабилног тржишта, политичких тензија и економских препрека, али истовремено доприносе одрживости заједнице кроз иновације, предузетништво и развој локалних привредних иниција- тива. Истраживачки проблем у овом раду може се артикулисати следећим питањем: „Како су се кроз историју мењале особине, стратегије и утицај српских пословних лидера на Косову и Метохији у различитим друштвено- -економским контекстима?“ Циљеви рада су следећи: 1. Испитати како су се пословни лидери прилагођавали политичким и економским променама. 2. Анализирати које су стратегије користили за очување и развој привреде. 3. Разумети улогу пословних лидера у очувању српске заједнице на Косову и Метохији. У раду су коришћене различите методе истраживања и до- казивања: историјска метода – анализа доступних историјских извора о трговцима, индустријалцима и савременим предузетницима, компаративна анализа – поређење пословних лидера из различитих временских периода, студија случаја – анализа конкретних пословних лидера и њиховог утицаја и анализа докумената – коришћење извора као што су архивска грађа, новински чланци, интервјуи и економски извештаји. The personality of leaders in the Serbian business world in Kosovo and Metohija reflects the dynamic social, political, and economic changes in this region throughout history. From medieval merchants and guilds during the Nemanjić era, through entre- preneurs in the Ottoman and Yugoslav periods, to modern-day business leaders, they have played a crucial role in maintaining economic stability and preserving the identity of the Serbian community. Traditionally, business leaders in Kosovo and Metohija have not only been economic drivers but also social pillars, often connected with cultural and political structures. In the contemporary context, Serbian business leaders face challenges such as market instability, political tensions, and economic obstacles, yet they continue to contribute to the sustainability of the community through innovation, entrepreneurship, and the development of local economic initiatives. The research problem addressed in this paper is articulated through the following question: “How have the characteristics, strategies, and influence of Serbian business leaders in Kosovo and Metohija evolved throughout history in different socio-economic contexts?” The subject of the research is the analysis of the characteristics of Serbian business leaders in Kosovo and Metohija over time, focusing on their contribution to economic and social development. The objectives of this research are: 1. To examine how business leaders have adapted to political and economic changes. 2. To analyze the strategies they used to preserve and develop the economy. 3. To understand the role of business leaders in maintaining the Serbian community in Kosovo and Metohija. Their ability to adapt to changing circumstances has been essential for the economic survival of the Serbian population in the region.
