o:7539 KARTA ŠUMSKIH BILJNIH ZAJEDNICA KOŠUTNJAKA I TOPČIDERSKOG BRDA U BEOGRADU SA KOMENTAROM MAP OF FOREST PLANTS COMMUl\!ITIES OF KOSUT!IIJAK AND TOPCIDERSKO BRDO IN BELGRADE WITH COMMENTARY sr In the very city >>tissue<< of Belgrade in Košutnjak and on Topčidersko brdo (»court forests«) a more or less natural forest vegetation is preserved. Beside numerous and varied functions which this natural greenery offers in the very urban milieu, these forest complexes point to a special plant-geographic interestingness of central parts of the area of Belgrade - its vegetational two-zo- rality. One forest zone (Quercion frainetto Ht. 54) becomes replaced by a little more humid forest- steppe zone (Aceri tatarici-Querrion Zol. et Jack. 57) with a set of specifities, which are characteristic for vegetation of the southern rim of Pannonian depression.
