Quercion Zol. et Jack. 1957, but also inside them, there appear in Roumania, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia and southern Hungaria many mixed forests in which European white lime (Tilia tomentosa Moench) dominates. Inside its area the forests of European white lime are different because of the differences due to natural-historical, Floral-genetical, syngenetic development and ecological conditions. The mixed forests of European white lime can be classified in two groups. In the first group belong mixed oak-lime forests, but also oak-lime-hornbeam forests on Vlach's depression rim with Flora elements like Quercus pedunculiflora, Fraxinus pallisae, Nectaroscordum dioscoridis, Galanthus plicatus, Arum orientale etc. In the second group are such forests on southern rim of Pannonian depression, containing the following elements: Ruscus aculeatus, Helleborus odorus, Asperula taurina, Tamus communis, Epimedium alpinum etc. Several types of these forests are separated: Tilio tomentosae-Carpinetum betuli Don. 1970.
