<dc:description xml:lang="eng">The results of the studies of forest vegetation on the serpentines of Serbia
(Stolovi, Zlatibor) were reported previously, in which special attention was paid
to forest communities of Potentillo albae - Quercetum petraeae (Pav 1. 1951)
Ht. 1959 and Pinetum .nigrae-silvestris Pav 1. 1951. Inside the community of oak
with Potentilla alba were separated several new subassociations, variants and facies (B r au n-B I an q u e t) with the main differential species: Carex silvatica,
Carex halleriana, Brachypodium pinnatum, Sedum maximum etc., important also
from practical typological aspects. In addition, some other forest communities
were separated (Quercetum farnetto-cerris potentilletosum albae prov., Quercetum
petraeae-cerris serpentinicum prov., Aceri-Ostryo-Fagetum serpentinicum prov.,
Aceri-Tilietum serpentinicum prov. etc.) which are also important for the science
and forest praxis. A connection between Potentillo-Quercetum (Pav l. 1951) Ht
1959 and Pofentillo-Quercetum L i b b. 1933 (Mraz. 1958) was revealed as well.
