<dc:description xml:lang="eng">In the transition area of the Illyric-Moesic Province the lowest oak belt is
represented by climax forest of the Moesic Province Quercetum farnetto-cerris.
This means that the eastern limits of the prevailingly Middle-European more mesophylic
Alliance Carpion betuli - illyrico podolicum are moved more to the
west, where the Illyric influences are less contrastic. The forest complex is characterized
by a large number of forest communities spread in Serbia, Bosnia
and Montenegro.
The soils of the studied region are represented by two evolution series:
one uncomplete (on lime-stones) and second one complete (on silicate rocks).</dc:description>
