https://unilib.phaidrabg.rs/o:7332 The spruce seeds (Picea abioes Karst) from different localities of SR Serbia and SR Crna Gora (Monte Negro) are distinguished by a high mean value of germinability from X = 96,21 %, 0 = 2,66%. Along with the age there is a loss of germinability, but this process is not very expressed, so that even after five years the seeds are satisfying the reguirements - norms of standards for this characteristic. By conservation of seeds in adequate vessels and preservation in cold place, the process of the loss of germinability is noticeably held up, and during five years - duration of the trial - practically there was no change in its quality. The seed samples collected the same year have a higher percentage of germinability when they have been longer preserved in conserved stage, which is confirmed by very strong linear relation of the positive sign between these vadables. The frequency of abnormally germinated seeds, was very small in both cases - seeds used in standard analyses and seeds preserved in conserved stage for five years. - so that it may be neglected.
