<dc:description xml:lang="eng">The investigation of diback of trees in an eastern white pine plantation on
mechanically damaged soils was made on the territory of REIK "Kolubara".
The obtained results have shown:
- The intensity of dieback of individual trees and groups of trees is higher,
when compared with the 1987 year.
- The unsuitable substratum, especiallv bad water-air regime, has a negative influence on microbiological activity of the soil and hence on small return
of plant assimilatives.
- The pathogenic flngi have an important influence on dieback in eastern
white pine plantations, established on substrata unsuitable for growing this tree
species on them.</dc:description>
