The gas and dust emissions at the open pits occurs as a consequence of technological processes aimed at obtaining the mineral resources, most often during loading and transport operations. In addition, the pollution also depends on the terrain configuration around the open pit and climatic parameters. Therefore, it can be considered that the entire area of the open pit is a source of environmental pollution.
