o:7153 ZEMLJIŠTA POD ŠUMSKIM FITOCENOZAMA KOŠUTNJAKA I TOPČIDERSKOG BRDA SOILS UNDER FOREST PHYTOCOENOSES OF KOŠUTNJAK AND TOPČIDERSKO BRDO sr Study of the soils under remaining forests of Košutnjak and Topčidersko Brdo, as a transition region between zones of Quercion farnetto Horv. and Aceri tatarici-Quercion Z o l t. et J a c k., has shown transformation of the chernozem into gajnjacha, occuring through the phase of the ,,degraded" chernozem. On the to day's forest area of these two hills the ,,degraded" chernozem has left over mainly on the flat Topčider's plateau, although with clear indications of evolution toward gajnjacha. The largest areas of Košutnjak and Topčidersko Brdo are covered with gajnjacha which is slightly or moderately acidified.
