Marković, Ljubisav Lavadinović, Vera srp The analysis of bole tapening at the first meter of bole length (stump 0.30 m + 1 m) was made on a sample of 350 beech trees (Fagus moesiaca /Domin, Maly/ Czecz.), 100 black locust trees (Robinia pseudoacacia L.), 100 Constantinople hazel trees (Corylus colurna L.) and 50 bird cherry trees (Prunus avium L.). In all studied species a full correlation was e tablished between absolute values of stump diameters and diameters at breast height (1.30 m). The corresponding regressions enable a highly credible estimation of breast height diameters on the basis of stump diameters of cut trees.
