<dc:description xml:lang="eng">During the long-term observations of exotic trees and shrubs in Belgrade
and its surroundings more than three hundred horticultural species and
cultivars have been recorded, analysed and afterwards spread (distmibuted).
In this paper caucasian elm, recorded in New Belgrade, has been specially
analysed.
The above mentioned exemplars havling characteristic silhouette and bizzare
form (shape) and very decorative trunk and branches with bark that flakes
in yellow and green shades of colour and leaves coarsely toothed on margins,
have shown very good adaptibility, high diameter and height increment, vitality
and decorativness as well as the low temperature resistance.
Thanking to these qualities this species can be recommended for the areation
of effective compositions on green areas of Belgrade having many different
characteristics and usage.</dc:description>
