<dc:description xml:lang="eng">Study of root mass, root hair mass and number of root hairs of the I order was made on one-year old Scots pine seedliings, produced in three types
of containers of hard plastics: "Jukosad", "Plantagrah I" and "G.O.R.A. 78". All
seedlings were produced from seeds collected in the region of T. Uzice.
After sowing, the containers were placed on a hard basis, which had
prevented penetration of plant root in the soil, enabling extraction of seedlings
with undamaged root system.
The analisis of variance (at the level of 1'%) has shown the highest root
mass and root hair mass by the seedlings grown in the container "Plantagrah I".
Significant differences were not found between the plants grown in the
contaliners "G.O.R.A. 78" and Jukosad".
In respect to the number of root hairs of the I order there were no
significant differences between these thiree types of containers.</dc:description>
