o:7073 SEZONSKO VARIRANJE SADRŽAJA PIGMENATA I CRVENJENJE ČETINA BELOG BORA SEASONAL VARIATION OF PIGMENT CONTENT AND REDDENING OF PINE NEEDLES sr This paper reveals investigation results of the role of low temperature on seasonal variation of pigment and reddening of Scotch pine needles. Investigaions revealed that needles of two year old Scotsh pine seedlings do not change colour during winter months. However, one year seedlings have very red needles during the same period. Amount of pigments in needles slightly deureases during winter period. Under the same growing conditions, amount of chlorophyll and caretonoids in needles of one year seedlings drastically decreases (4 times) duning winter. Transfering one year seedlings during winter under protection in greenhouse comes to rapid change in the amount of pigments. Derived results pointed out that a low temperature has essential role in the seasonal reddening of one year Scotch pine seedlings, while in the same time do not influence to a signifiicant degree needles of two year plants. 1552101 0351-9147 2025-02-19T09:15:26.321Z 44 yes 46 M.
