<dc:description xml:lang="eng">These investigations were organized in the nursery Baroševac, near the
town of Lazarevac, during a three-year period (1980-1982).
The floristic composition of grass weeds in the nursery consisted of 19
most important species, six of them being dominant: Agropyron repens, Cirsium
aryense, Echinochloa ems galli, Polygonum lapathifolium, Setaria glauca and
Sonchus arvensis.
We list the commercial names of the preparations which were used in our
trials: Afalon, Amitrol, Aresin, Atrapin, Atrazin, Atromet, Caragard, Devrinol, Diherbid,
Eptam., Eradicane, Goal, Kerb, 'Lasso, Lasso-Atrapin, Prometrin, Roneet,
Rambrod, Sinbar, Velpar and Treflan.
The following preparations have shown the best results: Atrazin, Atromet,
Lasso-Atrapin, Roneet, Amitrol, Atropin, ' Caragard, Goal, Kerb and Velpar. They
were highly effective in regard to the grass weeds, but at the same time didn't
harm (selective action) coniferous seedlings which grew in the nursery: black
pine, douglas fir, common fir, eastern white pine, and for that reason were
recommended for practical use.</dc:description>
