Specifičnost ove mezofilne lišćarsko-četinarske zajednice ne proističe samo iz florističkog sastava, vec iz geoloških, pedoloških i klimatskih uslova koji vladaju u ovom refugijalnom području. Regardless of the relict character and degradation process, forest stands with the edifying role of yew (Taxus baccata L.) in Toc!ilovo on the slopes of Jadovnik are marked by great stability and clearly differentiated typical group of broad-leaved and coniferous species.
