Резултати приказани у раду добијени су на основутеренских истраживања у шарпланинској жупи Сиринић, спроведених у више наврата током2023.и2024.године. Starting from the fact that this region has thecharacterofanethnicallymixedarea,since,besidetheSerbianmajority,therealsoliveAlbanians,theattention in the paper is paid to the local Serbian-Albanian relations in the context of the position oftheSerbslivinginSirinićintheconditionsofsocio-politicalprocessesinKosovoandMetohijaaftertheNATOaggressiononFRYugoslaviain1999untiltoday.Thestudiedproblemwasobservedfromthe perspective of the local Serbs, which means that in order to achieve the goal of the research theemphasis was placed on the analysis of the discourse of the members of the researched Serbian com-munity. The results presented in the paper were obtained on the basis of field research conducted inSirinićonseveraloccasionsduring2023and2024.Theresultsofresearchaffirmedthecomplexityofthestudiedtopic,sincetheinter-ethnicrelationsintheobservedareareflectedthecharacteroftherelationship between the members of the two ethnic groups inherited from the period before 1999, Прилогетнографијисрпско-албанскиходносаушарпланинскојжупиСиринић... 347 while, at the same time, they were under the influence of diametrically different positions of SerbsandAlbaniansinKosovoandMetohijaafterthementionedyear,whichexpressedthepositionofpower of the Albanian side over the Serbian side. Serbian-Albanian relations in Sirinić, according tothe perception of local Serbs, manifested one main characteristic, which could probably be best de-scribedasambivalent,whichmeansthat,throughtheprismofthemembersoftheresearchedSerbiancommunity, the relations with their Albanian neighbors are most often experienced as intertwinedcoexistence and cooperation, on the one hand, and mutual distrust, on the other.
