<dc:description xml:lang="srp">U radu su prikazani rezultati višegodišnjih istraživanja zdravstvenog stanja
bukovih šuma u Srbiji. Naročito je istaknut uticaj prekomernih seča, insolacije, upale kore
i destruktivnog delovanja epiksilnih gljiva. Naglašena je interakcija abiotskih i biotičkih
faktora, njihovo mesto i značaj u procesu hroničnog sušenja bukovih šuma.
Akutno sušenje bukve dovodi se u vezu sa pojavom oboljenja kore (Beech Bark Disease)
koju izazivaju vunasta vaš Cryptococcus fagisuga i patogena gljiva Nectria coccinea.
U zaštiti ugroženih bukovih šuma sprovedene su fitosanitetske mere, koje su ocenjene kao
neophodne i efikasne.</dc:description>
<dc:description xml:lang="eng">Long-term research of beech forest health condition has been presented. The
effects of overlogging, insolation, beech bark disease and destructive epixylous fungi
have been especially emphasized, as well as the interaction of biotic and abiotic factors,
their place and significance in the process of chronic decline of beech forests.
Acute beech dying is related to beech bark disease, caused by beech scale Cryptococcus
fagis11ga and the pathogenous fungus Nectria coccinea.
In the protection of the endangered beech forests, the performed phytosanitary measures
were assessed as necessary and efficient</dc:description>
