<dc:title xml:lang="srp">GENETSKI POTENCIJAL SEMENSKIH OBJEKATA BUKVE U SRBIJI - OSNOVA ZA OPLEMENJIVANJE VRSTE</dc:title>
<dc:description xml:lang="srp">Vrste iz roda Fagus - Fagus sylvatica L., Fagus moesiaca (Domin,
Maly) Czeczott i Fagus orientalis su među najraspostranjenijim i ekonomski
najvažnijim lišćarskim vrstama Evroazije. Bukove šume u Evropi i u delu Azije
obezbediti kvalitetan sadni materijal.
proizvodnje.</dc:description>
<dc:description xml:lang="eng">The species in the genus Fagus- Fagus sylvatica L. , Fagus moesiaca
(Domin, Maly) Czeczott and Fagus orienta/is are among the most widely distributed
and economically the most important broadleaf species of Eurasia. Beech
forests in Europe and in a part of Asia range on about 17-20 million hectares,
which is 10% of the total growing stock in Europe. In Serbia, beech Fagus moesiaca
(Domin, Maly) Czeczott is one of the most commercial broadleaf species.
Beech is mainly regenerated naturally, however however for different silvicultural demands and afforestation it is necessary to provide the good quality planting
material. 19 seed stands of this species were designated in Serbia, so as to supply
good quality seed and as a form of beech gene pool conservation in situ. This
paper presents their characteristics, significance and the directions of further improvement
of the species for seed and nursery production.</dc:description>
