  <dc:description xml:lang="srp">Kratak sadržaj: Edukacija i osposobljavanje kadrova za rad u naučnim disciplinama koje obuhvata akronim STEM (Science, Technology, Engeneering, Mathematics), u današnje vreme su imperativ. Ulaganje javnih sredstava u
obrazovanje, povezivanje obrazovnih institucija sa privrednim subjektima i tržištem rada, uvođenje i pravno
regulisanje inovativnih metoda učenja, neophodni su za napredak i razvoj društva u celini. Zato se ovaj rad bavi
isticanjem značaja STEM obrazovanja, kroz prikaz institucionalnog i zakonskog okvira koji se odnosi na STEM
obrazovanje u SAD-u i Evropskoj uniji, dok analiza važećih propisa Republike Srbije iz oblasti obrazovanja ima za cilj da ukaže na eventualnu potrebu za pravnim regulisanjem STEM obrazovanja i važnost usmeravanja javnih sredstava u
znanje i nove obrazovne koncepte.</dc:description>
  <dc:description xml:lang="eng">Abstract: The education and training of staff to work in scientific disciplines covered by the acronym STEM (Science, Technology, Engeneering, Mathematics) is nowadays imperative. Investing public funds in education, connecting educational institutions with businesses and the labor market, introducing and legally regulating innovative learning methods are necessary for the progress and development of society as a whole. That is why this paper focuses on the importance of STEM education, through an overview of the institutional and legal framework pertaining to STEM education in the US and the European Union, while the analysis of current Serbian legislation in the field of
education aims to point out the possible need for legal regulation of STEM education and the importance of directing
public funds to knowledge and new educational concepts.</dc:description>
