За сваку врсту забележени су следећи подаци: уређене, неуређене шуме или ван шуме; димензије стабла или групе стабала (висина стабла, пречник дебла); подаци о станишту (географска ширина и дужина, надморска висина, експозиција и нагиб); тип геолошке подлоге, земљишта и фитоценозе. С обзиром да се поменуте врсте могу искористити за индустријску прераду (у дрвној, фармацеутској или прехрамбеној индустрији), подаци у овом раду о просторним и еколошким карактеристикама забележених шумских воћних врста могу бити од значаја за економски развој пиротског краја са аспекта диверзификације економске делатности становништва. Abstract: The study of widespread forest fruit species in Pirot and its surroundings was conducted by field research during which the following species were identified: Castanea sativa Mill., Cornus mas L., Corylus avellana L., Corylus colurna L., Juglans regia L., Malus silvestris Mill., Pyrus pyraster L., Prunus avium L., Prunus cerasifera Ehrh., Sorbus aria L. and Taxus baccata L. The following data were recorded for each species: managed, unmanaged forest or outside the forest; dimensions of a tree or group of trees (tree height, trunk diameter); habitat data (latitude and longitude, altitude, exposure and slope); type of geological substrate, soil and phytocenosis. Given that the mentioned species can be used for industrial processing (in the wood, pharmaceutical or food industry), the data in this paper on the spatial features and ecological characteristics of the recorded forest fruit species can be of importance for the economic development of the Pirot region from the aspect of diversifying the economic activity of the population.
