    <ns1:description language="sr">Sažetak: Princip zagađivač plaća predstavlja jedno od fundamentalnih načela pravnog poretka zaštite životne sredine. Predmet razmatranja u radu odnosi se na analizu ekonomskih ekoloških instrumenata koji se javljaju kao modaliteti ostvarivanja principa zagađivač plaća u okviru pravnih sistema Republike Srbije i
Republike Hrvatske. Cilj rada jeste sagledavanje stepena inkorporiranja predmetnog načela u unutrašnje pravne poretke Srbije i Hrvatske, polazeći od uporednopravne
analize aktuelnih zakonskih rešenja. U okviru zaključnih razmatranja autori su istakli značaj regulisanja ekonomskih ekoloških instrumenata u kontekstu ostvarivanja principa zagađivač plaća i izneli određene sugestije u cilju postizanja
većeg stepena njegove primene.

    <ns1:description language="en">Summary: The polluter pays principle is one of the fundamental principles of the
environmental law. The subject matter of the paper refers to the analysis of economic environmental instruments as modalities for the implementation of the polluter pays principle within the legal systems of the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Croatia. The aim of the paper is to determine the degree of incorporation of the principle
poluter pays into the domestic legal orders of Serbia and Croatia, starting from a comparative analysis of current legal standards. Within the concluding remarks, the authors emphasized the importance of regulating the economic environmental instruments in the context of the realization of the polluter pays principle and
provided certain suggestions in order to increase the level of its protection.</ns1:description>
