o:4585 Значај Кумановског споразума у решавању сукоба на Косову и Метохији The importance of Kumanovo agreement in the settlement of conflict in Kosovo and Metohija en sr Summary: Immediately after the negotiations between the representatives of the government of the FRY and the Republic of Serbia and the KFOR forces, under the auspices of the United Nations, the Military Technical or Kumanovo Agreement was concluded, on June 9, 1999. Two facts are indisputable. The first concerned the definitive ending of the NATO aggression against the FRY and the Republic of Serbia, that is, the international legal, security and historical character of the agreement. Another fact was the misinformation, interpretation or even abuse of the agreement. The subject of work is the historical and geopolitical interpretation of relations that led to the signing of the Military Technical Agreement in Kumanovo, as well as the consequences of its implementation. From a conceptual point of view, the work consists of three chapters. The first chapter analyzes the determinants of the geopolitical position of Kosovo and Metohija. The second chapter points to the historical situation in Kosovo and Metohija, especially after the World War II. The third segment is the most important, and it relates to the causes that led to the signing of the agreement, and the concequences of implementation. Сажетак: Непосредно након завршетка преговора између представника владе СРЈ и Републике Србије и снага КФОР, под окриљем Уједињених нација, закључен је Војнотехнички или Кумановски споразум, 9. јуна 1999. године. Две чињенице су од несумњивог значаја. Прва се односила на дефинитивно окончање НАТО агресије на СРЈ и Републику Србију односно међународноправни, безбедносни и историјски значај споразума. Друга чињеница се односила на погрешно квалификовање, тумачење или чак злоупотребу споразума. Управо је предмет рада историјско и геополитичко тумачење односа који су довели до потписивања Војнотехничког споразума у Куманову, као и последице његовог спровођења. Са концептуалног аспекта, рад се састоји из три поглавља. У првом поглављу анализиране су детерминанте геополитичког положа- ја Косова и Метохије. Друго поглавље указује на историјске прилике на Косову и Метохији, нарочито после Другог светског рата. Трећи сегмент је најважнији, и односи се на узроке који су довели до потписивања споразума, као и последице спровођења.
