Посебно издање - 4 str. 75-86 application/pdf 351601 bytes 2018 Суботин, Маја Пастор, Балинт srp Abstract: Increasingly widespread and more drastic environmental threats, great climate change and the development and application of new techniques and technologies from which new threats arise have created a need to improve standards and procedures in environmental safety, but also pointed to the importance of raising the level of environmental awareness in which an important role have mass media. The power of mass media is reflected by the formation of attitudes and opinions, that is, the possibility of changing the human consciousness, and hence its behavior. Inadequate, insufficiently, incorrectly and unprofessionally disseminating information can destructively affect all segments of the society, and so on the level of environmental awareness and ecological security. Сажетак: Све распрострањеније и драстичније угрожавање животне средине, велике климатске промене и развој и примена нових техника и технологија из којих произилазе нове претње, створили су потребу за унапређењем стандарда и процедура у еколошкој безбедности, али и указали на значај подизања нивоа еколошке свести у чему значајну улогу имају мас-медији. Моћ мас-медија се огледа у утицају на форми- рање ставова и мишљења, односно у могућности измене човекове свести, а самим тим и његовог понашања. Неадекватно, недовољно, нетачно и нестручно пласирање информација може деструктивно деловати на све сегменте друштва, па тако и на питање нивоа еколошке свести и еколошке безбедности.
