o:4402 The migrant crisis in the British media: Case study - Daily Mail Миграционный кризис в СМИ Великобритании кейс-стади: «Daily Mail» en Abstract. In this paper, the articles about migrants of the daily newspaper from Great Britain, the Daily Mail, from 2015 were analyzed. The research about which the text speaks has been situated in the field of political semiology, that is, the way of media presentation of social and political topics. The research problem to which this paper is devoted concerns the attitude of daily newspapers in Great Britain towards the arrival of a large number of migrants in this country, after the expansion of the so-called "refugee crisis", and the increased influx of migrants and refugees to Western Europe. In the text, using the example of the mentioned circulation weekly, the assumption is proven that the problem of migration, caused above all by the conflicts in Afghanistan and Syria, was treated in a superficial way in the media in Great Britain, and that therefore there was no departure from the usual prejudices about migrants from the East of Europe and the Middle East. Аннотация. В данной научной работе проанализированы статьи о мигрантах тиражной ежедневной газеты из Великобритании «Daily Mail» за 2015 год. Исследование, обсуждаемое в тексте, относится к области политической семиологии, то есть касается способа медиапрезентации социальных и политических тем. Проблема исследования, которой посвящена данная статья, касается отношения ежедневных газет Великобритании к прибытию большого количества мигрантов в эту страну после расширения так называемого «миграционного кризиса» и возросшего притока мигрантов и беженцев в Западную Европу. В тексте на примере упомянутой тиражной ежедневной газеты доказывается предположение о том, что проблема миграции, вызванная, прежде всего, конфликтами в Афганистане и Сирии, освещалась в средствах массовой информации Великобритании поверхностно, и поэтому не произошло отхода от привычных предрассудков о мигрантах из стран Восточной Европы и Ближнего Востока.
