  <dc:description xml:lang="eng">ABSTRACT: The proper waste management has become the imperative of the modern
society. Waste management, regardless of its type, must be aligned with the
principles of the environmental protection. Surely, the proper management
of packaging waste and its reduction through a reuse or recycling contrib-
utes to the preservation and protection of the environment, but also to the
balance with the economic development of the society. In addition to the
necessary theoretical explanations and analysis of certain legal solutions,
the paper deals with the analysis of the current strategic approach in the
field of waste management, as well as the analysis of the work of author-
ized operators and the factual situation in Republic of Serbia in the domain
of recycling of packaging waste.</dc:description>
  <dc:description xml:lang="srp">REZIME: Pravilno upravljanje otpadom postalo je imperativ savreme-
nog društva. Postupanje sa otpadom, bez obzira na njegovu vrstu, mora
biti usklađeno sa načelima zaštite životne sredine. Svakako da adekvatno
upravljanje ambalažnim otpadom i njegovo smanjenje kroz ponovnu upo-
trebu ili reciklažu doprinosi očuvanju i zaštiti životne sredine, ali i balansu
sa ekonomskim razvojem društva. Pored neophodnih teorijskih pojašnje-
nja i analize pojedinih zakonskih rešenja, rad se bavi analizom aktuelnog
strategijskog pristupa u domenu upravljanja otpadom, kao i analizom rada
ovlašćenih operatera i faktičkog stanja po tom pitanju u Republici Srbiji u
domenu recikliranja ambalažnog otpada.</dc:description>
