o:1721 The development of university fine arts education in Kosovo and Metohija en Summary: The paper discusses the development of university fine arts education in Kosovo and Metohija. The beginnings of fine arts education in the Province are associated with the establishment of the Secondary Art School in the town of Pec in 1949. Then, Teacher Training College was founded in Pristina in 1962, where the Fine Arts Group was formed. The Academy of Fine Arts in Pristina was founded in 1973, and later it grew into the Faculty of Arts, which is now part of the University of Pristina in Kosovska Mitrovica.
